The RISE Project, which has a budget of ETB 47,627,685, will be implemented by Community Action Against Poverty (CAAP) and is funded by UN Women. Over the next two years, the project will empower women through a multi-faceted approach, improving access to financial services and creating sustainable market linkages.
Collaboration with various key partners is central to the project’s success. CAAP will work closely with local government agencies, including the Bureau of Women and Children Affairs, the Bureau of Agriculture, the Bureau of Finance and Economic Development (BoFED), and the Job Creation and Skills Development Office, as well as the Cooperative Promotion Agency. In addition, private sector and financial institutions will facilitate access to financial services and markets for women entrepreneurs, while federal and regional research intuitions, academic institutions, and other private and development partner institutions, will provide technical support and research-based insights.
Through these strategic partnerships and a strong community-focused approach, the RISE Project aims to bring transformative change to the lives of women in the Somali Region, fostering resilience, economic empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.
We look forward to the positive impact this project will bring to the women and communities in the Somali Region!
