Achievements
  1. Shelter and Non-Food Items (NFIs):
    • Distributed emergency shelter kits and NFIs to 1,900 households (14,550 individuals), including 285 households with persons with disabilities.
  2. Community Engagement and Collaboration:
    • Conducted introductory meetings with local authorities and communities to facilitate effective coordination.
    • Engaged in beneficiary identification and registration, ensuring accurate targeting and equitable assistance.
  3. Accountability and Monitoring:
    • Completed post-distribution monitoring (PDM) to assess the impact of the assistance and gather feedback from beneficiaries.
  4. Project Closeout Workshop:
    • Organized a project closeout workshop to review outcomes, share lessons learned, and discuss future improvements.
  5. Timely Assistance:
    • Distributed emergency materials promptly, enabling families to construct shelters and meet their immediate needs during a critical period of displacement.
Impact

The project brought significant relief to 1,900 flood-displaced households by addressing their immediate shelter and household needs. Beneficiaries were able to construct temporary shelters using the materials provided and locally available resources, ensuring safety and dignity during the crisis.

PDM Survey Findings:

  • 98% of respondents were aware of and believed the selection criteria were fair.
  • 100% were satisfied with the items and the quality of the distribution process.
  • All respondents confirmed receiving shelter and NFIs as needed, effectively addressing their urgent ES/NFI needs.
